 Dear diary,

Mother is having another one of her lectures again. Right as I wake up she is yelling at me how I am "sleeping the day away" but I was too busy thinking about the fresh food that Eliza is preparing for the customers.  It smelled of fresh pastries all through out my room. After mother starts to walk down the stairs, a rat scurries out from under the closet, it tries to grab mothers quilt but I ran in an attempt of salvaging it. I did end up saving it but not without killing the rat so I just throw it out for the cat. Then yet again mother yells at me "your wasting time dillydallying up there." After she said that I finally made it down stairs . Once mother saw me take a seat she told me that after breakfast to water the garden. Reluctantly, I agreed hoping for Poly to be here to distract mother but it seems as though she is not here I wonder where she has gone...
