Dear Diary,
Today I overheard grandfather and mother discussing that they would send me over to the Ludington's. I protested because I didn't want to leave mother sick by herself. Then mother told me to go get packed, reluctantly I went to my room and started to pack. After I finished packing I waited outside with Eliza. After a while Grandfather was finally ready for the long road ahead. We finally got into the carriage that had been waiting for us.
A little while later, we were miles out of town when suddenly we were stopped by what looked to be doctors. They asked us if we were sick we of course said no but they took us out anyway, because, they believed wholeheartedly that my grandfather was infected and had spread the disease to me! They later said that we had to go back to town! I yelled that town was many miles away but they didn't care and walked away, leaving us in dread. How are we supposed to get back? For your information, the person that was driving us left and took most of our stuff! After we sat there and got a plan, we headed on our way back to town but it wasn't easy.
